Our Dancin' Princess Bayleann!

Last Saturday the 18th was Bayleann's Christmas Dance Show-she dancin' wonderfully! We are so proud of her...she gets up on that stage-does all the steps and loves every minute of it.  Here is her in her costume before we left in the morning.  I had to braid her hair in 6 individual braids the night b4 after her bath to get her hair curly for the show.  But she was a trooper and didn't complain once! I'll have some more pictures of her performance after xmas..

And she was a lucky little girl for the finale of the show they have all the dancers come up on the stage and then they bring out Santa in a Sleigh...and one or two dancers get to ride in the sleigh with him...Well this year it was just Bayleann! He asked her how old she was and if she had been good this year. Of course she said YES! :o) And according to her he is the REAL SANTA and he took time out of his busy schedule to come and dance with them! Pretty Special!
Our little dancer! Look at that attitude!

Family Picture :o)

We kept saying we were going to do a kinda different family picture this year and we never found the time to-so I set up the tripod in the living room told the family to gather around the tree set the timer ran to my spot and SNAP we got ourselves a picture!

We hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  We love you all!!!

Austin just turned 9 & Bayleann will be 5 in January

Smiles that melt our hearts!!

Little Princess Bayleann

I had to post this picture I took of Bayleann...Andy had just gotten some new used tires for his stack truck and it was a nice warm afternoon and he was putting them on. Well peanut was dressing up in her dance costumes and coming out to show Daddy. Then she noticed Dad had a shop rag and was polishing the rims so she started doing the same!  It is such a cute picture! Andy has a big one as a magnet on his tool box showing off his little princess! We also sent it into a photo contest for a Big Truck magazine.  Who knows Bayleann might be famous! :o)

Getting the perfect Moen Christmas Tree!

Ever since our fake Christmas tree went to the tree "retirement home" we have been going out the Saturday after Thanksgiving and cutting down our own.  We went to a wonderful tree farm this year by Long Prairie and they drove us out into the fields of pine trees and we went in search of the perfect tree.  This year mom and the kids got to do the cutting and dad got to supervise (he was still pretty sore from his surgery).  Well we got the best tree in the whole field! After got the tree all set up in the house we decided to camp out in the living room. We all slept around the new Christmas tree....the kids had a blast in their little tent. :o)

Quick take the picture...the tree is falling!

Don't they just look like little angels!!!!!

It's the Great Pumpkin...or just 4 great looking ones!

Halloween is a favorite time around our house each year...Andy decorates outside with lights and scary stuff...puts up his halloween village in the living room and we carve pumpkins.  This year we all got into the action and craved....the best part was getting the pumpkin guts out of the pumkins! We had a huge bowl full.

Our wonderful pumpkin creations!
From left to right: Bayleann, Moms, Dads, Austins

They were very proud of their pumpkin creations!
We have Bayleann the princess witch & Austin is Megatron from Transformers!
They had blast trick-or-treatin! They also got to go to a Halloween party at the elementary school-which is awesome.  They do a wonderful job with games, prizes, decorations etc. WAY TO GO PARKERS PRAIRIE ELEMENTARY!

Ducks!

In mid October Andy went to South Dakota Duck Hunting...  he not only came back with his limit of feathered friends but with a fractured shin too. Not sure exactly how he did that but he ended up in a walking boot/case for about 3 weeks!  He was happy!

Austin can't wait til he gets to go out there with dad!Maybe next year:)

Bayleann doesn't mind getting her hands dirty with cleaning ducks...Dad is so proud!

Getting all the feathers off!

2010 in review.....

Since I just started to get the hang of this blogging/posting pictures thing, I thought I would go back through the year and pulled out some pics.  They are completely random but oh so darn cute!! Of course it helps to have such cute subjects :o)

Parkers Prairie Panthers Summer Rec T-Ball...Austin is up to bat.

Team huddle after a good game-with Coach Noga

The proud little dancer! This was taken before her spring recital for dance in May.
Like father like son...Austin has a love of basketball just like his Dad.  He got to be in a camp in July with Coach Noga.  He loves it and is getting really good to! Some day he'll be playing for the Parkers Prairie Panthers!

We had lunch at Noonan's Park in Alexandria and then the kids brought old bread to feed the geese & ducks.  Dad kept telling Austin to grab one so they could take it home.  He got close enough that they were eating the bread out of his hands but he couldn't convince one to come home with him.

Crazy Farmer Boog....yes he is on a irrigator tire in the middle of the bean field :o)

Little Princess Bayleann

Being goofy as always!

Andy & Austin go to Game Fair in Anoka each year to look at hunting stuff, drool the usual :) Well this year Austin got to meet and take pictures with a few of his hunting idols.  This is Jeff Foiles from Foiles Migrators-he's a famous hunter that travels around makin hunting movies, makes goose/duck calls...pretty much has the life Andy would  love!

The above two pictures go together...Barnie Calef is a champion duck/goose caller and makes/sells his own line of calls.  He took a liking to Austin and talked with him for quite a while.  So to be goofy he told Austin to start calling ducks with one of his calls  then he pretended that the calling was hurting his ears.  Austin loved talking with him-Calef was giving him hunting tips.

Having a archery contest....see who can hit the big buck that is standing in front of the hay bale....to bad the buck is made of foam & plastic!  It has big horns!

Helping Austin perfect his BB gun skills...He's getting to be a pretty good shot!

Look there's a pink lizard on your head peanut!

The next few pics are from a trip to the Wahpeton Zoo in North Dakota...The zoo there is small but has great animals and fun things to see and do.  They are standing next to a giant eagle nest below.  And they got to ride a old fashioned (completely restored) carousel, Bayleann did not want to leave she loved it!

A weekend full of huntin' & scrappin'

This past weekend Grandma & Grandpa came over to help watch the kids while I got to Osakis for a Scrapbook retreat!  YEAH!!  It was very relaxing & I have never laughed so hard!  While I was gone Andy took Austin out goose hunting...Let's just say "like father like son" :)  Austin loves hunting as much as dad does-he didn't even complain he was tired-but if you look at the pictures he did sneak in a little cat nap in the duck blind...shhhh don't wake him!
caught ya sleepin' booger!!!

That's a big goose!
Ck out the grin on Austin's face-priceless :)

The first day of school at Parkers Prairie-Tuesday 9-7-10

Parkers Prairie Panther 3rd Grader!
Bayleann's first day of school!

Can't believe that school has started and that Bayleann is a preschooler already!  Time really does fly by when you aren't paying attention!  Austin is excited cuz in 3rd grade they get balls to sit on instead of chairs...wonder how long it will take for the kids to not be constantly bouncin' :o)  Well here's to a great school year!
